Cheap genly used baby clothes are not easy to find, but if you know where to look you can definitely find some deals and easily get 70 - 90% of the normal purchase price.  If you are buying from an online seller you may automatically think it is used but very often the outfit has only been worn one or twice and it is very common to get something with the tags still on it.  I've found EBay to be the best place to get cheap baby clothes.

Baby chain stores like Babys-R-plUSprices and GAPyougottabeKIDding are great for shopping for presents but you could go broke buying everyday baby clothes there.  You can talk to the cashier or info desk and ask when they are having specials.  There are also certain times of the year that the stores will markdown the baby clothes prices cheaper, like after the holidays and before school season.

Cheap baby clothes can also be found at Garage sales.  I get a list of sales from the classifieds and map the addresses on google the night before so I can visit as many as possible.  It is hit an miss though, as many have clothes that are either the wrong size or gender.  If you have enough storage room, get a couple sizes up for items like coats, boots and shoes.  I also shop for the coming year because there are no garage sales during the winter.

Thrift stores may also have a decent selection if you go to a "family" oriented one.  Though  you have better odds coming back with a cool 80's dress or leisure suit costume at some of the thrift stores.

Consignment stores are great if you are lucky enough to have one near you.  They offer an array of sizes and many cheap baby clothes can be found.  Grab a couple sizes up if they don't have a great selection.  If you find a consignment store that reduces prices depending on the date, then bring a pen and paper in to note the items and when they are reduced in price.  Don't be surprised when some of these items are gone when you come back though.

Ebay is the best place to buy in bulk.  "Lot" buys allow you to minimize your shopping (aks hassle) time and get the best bang for your buck.  Cheap baby cloth shopping doesn't need to take a lot of time.  If I buy a lot of 10 pants and shirts I usually like about 70% of them and use them for outings.  The rest I use for bedtime t-shirts and around-the-house wearing.
